Arboretum Park

This small pituresque park features a collection of different trees and shrubs including the Sequoia, Garry Oak, Pine, Cedar and Dogwood.  It is located at the entrance to Transfer Beach Park on the corner of the Island Highway.

Gourlay-Janes Park

A short hike through a forest leads to a beautiful open space bordering the Ladysmith harbour. This park is located on Chemainus Road.

Queen’s Park

This hillside neighbourhood park located on 1st Avenue overlooks the Ladysmith Harbour. The Saltair Gardening Club maintains a lovely garden at this site.

Transfer Beach Park

This centrally located 28.33 acre park on the waterfront is the pride of Ladysmith - a major gathering spot for activities and community events.  It is located off Trans Canada Highway and boasts beautiful views of the harbour.

Community Garden

Ladysmith Community Garden, High Street
This pastoral setting in the heart of downtown Ladysmith is a public space managed by the Ladysmith Community Gardens Society.  Plots are available to residents (for a nominal yearly fee) for food gardening.

Spirit Square

Ladysmith's Spirit Square, opened in 2011, is a dynamic public square where people of all ages gather for quiet time, play or celebrations. A children's playground is located at Lions Park, adjacent to the Spirit Square located at Second Avenue, between Buller Street and High Street.
