4th Avenue at the Rocky Creek Dip reopened to motorists

The Town of Ladysmith has reopened 4th Avenue at the Rocky Creek Dip to motorists following a major infrastructure project to replace a failed culvert.

The road was paved on Thursday and flaggers will be onsite Friday evening around 6 p.m. assisting with alternating traffic as we paint the road markings.

In the coming days, the Town will install the sidewalks and railings and we ask that pedestrians use caution and avoid walking in this area of 4th Avenue until after the work is completed.

Motorists travelling on 4th Avenue next week during this phase of the project should also plan ahead and expect minor delays.

Flaggers will once again be onsite assisting with the flow of vehicles and we ask that you respect and obey their signals. Traffic will be single lane alternating to accommodate the construction work.

All work is weather dependent but we anticipate a break in the forecast next week to wrap up the project.
