HAZARD TREE WORK ADJACENT TO BC HYDRO TRANSMISSION LINES
BC Hydro will be doing maintenance related to brush clearing and hazard tree removals in the area adjacent to Holland Creek/BC Hydro Right of Way Corridor & subsequent trail network. Due to safety concerns trails will be temporarily closed during active cutting. It is requested that all trails users plan alternate routes during this time. Please be patient with traffic controllers and obey crew's signage.
The focus of this work is to remove/prune trees/create wildlife trees to reduce the risk of trees that could potentially fail onto the powerlines, and reduce the threat of trees that have future risk of growing into the powerlines. The objective is to improve system reliability and public safety in the area.
