PRC Virtual Classes

We're excited to launch our virtual classes to help you stay active and healthy while staying apart to help stop the spread of Covid-19.  We will be releasing new activities each day - Please check out the following pages to access videos and content: PRC YouTube, PRC Facebook, PRC Twitter, and PRC Instagram.

    

Week 1 - April 6-11

Wednesday - Sharing Strength Video

Join Jenn for a 30-minute class focused on maintaining muscular strength and flexibility.  This class is interval based with moderate level compound exercises.  You will need a set of dumbbells, soup cans or milk jugs.

Thursday - We Stretch Picture Collage

This stretch is for the sitters, the texters and the Netflix binger.  Everyone stand up, take a big breath in and let it out!  Ideally you should feel a mild to moderate stretch in the muscles being stretched while holding for 30-60 seconds.  These stretches should elicit a sense of relaxation, ENJOY!

Let's get our retro on!  Tighten that scrunchy and get groovin' to the tunes.  This class is ideal for the whole family and even better with retro costumes!  No equipment necessary, just a little space to follow along to the choreographed moves.

Thursday - Yoga at the Wall

Using the wall as a prop in your yoga practice can be very effective if used properly.  The wall can aid in support, balance, relaxation, posture and structural alignment.  Give these poses a try in any order and hold them for 30 seconds to 5 minutes.  The longer you are able to COMFORTABLY stay in these poses the more the connective tissues are able to release any tightness.  All you need is a quiet space and a wall to complete these yoga poses.

Sunday - Cowichan Trail Stewardship Society - Ladysmith Chapter

Did you know that Ladysmith has a very active group of volunteer trail
enthusiasts? A group of dedicated stewards who have represented the
trail user community in the Ladysmith region since 2015.

As of 2019, the Ladysmith Trail Alliance became known as the Cowichan
Trail Stewardship Society – Ladysmith Chapter, operating both
separately and in partnership with the CTSS. Their mission is to bring
community attention, support, and advocacy for multi-use trails as a
benefit to the Town of Ladysmith, its residence, and businesses.

Combined with the CTSS, they join together collaboratively with the
surrounding neighbours of the Cowichan Valley in support of trails and
the many values they bring. True trail stewardship!
