Council regularly appoints community members to participate on various Town Commissions, including:

The Committees typically meet once a month, and their role is to offer advice to Council about matters that affect all Ladysmith residents.  Council needs your thoughts and your knowledge, so please consider joining a Commission.

Ladysmith Community Planning Advisory Committee

Help us build a better community by volunteering for this committee.

Ladysmith Council invites applications from residents who would like to help us build our future.

The Town's newly-created Community Planning Advisory Committee (CPAC) has vacancies for seven members to fill a two-year term, ending June 30, 2021.  The mandate of the CPAC is to provide feedback to applicants and advice to Council on land use applications, policies, regulations and initiatives referred by Council. The CPAC will meet monthly when there are referrals to be considered.

Applicants should have a broad range of skills and/or experience in economic and social development, housing design, heritage or the environment.
