Agendas and Minutes
A full agenda package is prepared by 5:30 p.m. on the Thursday before the Council and Committee of the Whole meetings and is available by clicking on the following links: Council Minutes and Agendas; Committee of the Whole Minutes and Agendas. You can also read the agenda packages at City Hall and the Ladysmith branch of the Vancouver Island Regional Library (740 First Avenue).
Minutes of Council and Committee of the Whole meetings are posted on our website within a week after the meeting.
Until January 2020, Council met on the first and third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. Council also gathered as the Municipal Services Committee (now Committee of the Whole) on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. unless there was no new business to discuss.
The change to Tuesdays improved overall efficiency for both Council and staff by eliminating the need to cancel meetings when they conflict with statutory holidays, such as the Civic Holiday and Labour Day.
In 2020, the statutory holiday schedule is such that no Council or Municipal Services Committee meetings will be cancelled.
