Meetings of Council
Ladysmith Council meets several times each month. Council also meets as the Municipal Services Committee to discuss matters related to the Town’s departmental operations. See the list of meetings to the right or click for a printable schedule of meetings.
Citizens and the public are welcome – and encouraged – to attend any regular Council or Municipal Services meeting.
There are certain subjects that Council may need to discuss in camera, or in closed session. These meetings are known as Executive Sessions and are not open to the public. Council can only hold a closed session to discuss issues that are permitted under the Community Charter.
Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. If the regular meeting date falls on a statutory holiday, there will be no meeting that week.
Municipal Services Committee meetings will be held on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. If the regular meeting date falls on a statutory holiday, there will be no meeting that week.
Check this page on the day of the meeting for any changes to the start times or locations.
