At the heart of local health care is the Ladysmith Community Health Care Centre (formerly known as the Ladysmith Hospital), located at 1111 4th Avenue).

This primary health care centre brings together a variety of health and community services under one roof, making it easier for patients to access comprehensive care.

The centre provides urgent care, medical imaging services such as radiology (x-rays) and ultrasounds, mental health and substance use support, and access to the Neurological Rehabilitation Outpatient Program. It also houses the Ladysmith Diabetes Education Program, offering guidance and management tools for individuals living with diabetes.

In addition, the site includes the Ladysmith Health Unit, which delivers services such as the Baby Bed Program and Perinatal Services, supporting parents and infants during the crucial early stages of life.
