Elections

The Town of Ladysmith General Local Election was held Saturday, October 15, 2022, where all eligible Town of Ladysmith voters elected their Council which consists of one Mayor and six Councillors. Voters also elected School District No. 68 Board Trustees and voted in favour of the CVRD Regional Recreation Referendum. General Local Elections are held every four years on the third Saturday in October and the Town runs its own elections according to Provincial laws.

Alternative Approval Process (AAP)


The Town of Ladysmith is proceeding in the coming weeks with an Alternative Approval Process (AAP) to permit the borrowing of funds for a new City Hall building as part of the Buller Street Revitalization Project.
