Ladysmith Mayor and Council hosting virtual COVID-19 Town Hall on April 7

Mayor Aaron Stone and Ladysmith Council are holding a COVID-19 virtual Town Hall on Tuesday, April 7 and will be taking your questions during this important time for our community as we all help to stop the spread of the virus.

The virtual Town Hall is being hosted on Zoom - a secure conferencing service that Ladysmith Council is using to hold Special Meetings of Council - and broadcast for the public on YouTube, to comply with the Provincial Health Officer's order to maintain safe physical distancing of at least 2 metres from each other.

The event is scheduled at the beginning of the Special Meeting of Council and will start at 7 p.m.  The Mayor and members of Council will take your questions for a maximum of one hour.

The regular agenda will follow the completion of the Town Hall.

Residents can submit their questions in advance of the Town Hall by emailing info@ladysmith.ca, or pose them on the live YouTube chat during the meeting.

You can also post questions on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #LadysmithTH, or in the comments section of any Facebook post regarding the COVID-19 Town Hall or the Special Meeting of Council.

Persons wishing to address Council must be Town residents, non-resident property owners, or operators of a business.

Individuals must include their name and address for identification purposes. We kindly ask that questions be brief and to the point.

No commitments shall be made by the Chair in replying to a question.
