Town organizes Family Day fun to keep you safe and active

The Town of Ladysmith has organized plenty of fun activities to keep the entire family moving as you celebrate Family Day with loved ones.

Make a splash on the holiday Monday, February 15 and register to visit the Frank Jameson Community Centre with your family bubble for an Everyone Welcome swim.

Four sessions of 45 minutes each are being offered with swim times at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, and 2:30 pm.  Limited spots are available due to COVID-19 protocols.

Reserve your spot in advance by calling the FJCC Reception Desk at 250.245.6424.

We treasure our families! The Town has planned a free family-friendly Treasure Hunt at Transfer Beach Park.

Families are welcome to pick up their Treasure Map and photo props from 10 am - 2 pm, February 12-14.

Then set on your way following several clues to find the treasure and enjoy the safe outdoor family fun.

Check out the the Ladysmith Parks, Recreation and Culture Facebook page for a sneak peak of your map.

The real treasure is spending time with family, but those who find the “x” are invited to send their family picture to prc@ladysmith.ca to be entered to win a treasure chest full of fun prizes for the family.

The Town acknowledges the support of the BC Recreation and Parks Association and the BC Government.
