Ladysmith launches interactive mapping survey for Official Community Plan review

The Town of Ladysmith is encouraging everyone to get ‘Oot and Aboot’ and show us what you love the most about our idyllic West Coast seaside community.

The newly launched online visual mapping survey is a fun and interactive way for you to provide meaningful input on the OCP.  It’s also an opportunity to reflect on what makes Ladysmith unique now and how we envision it in the coming decades.

Where’s your favourite place to go in Ladysmith? What do you appreciate and value about this location in town? What would make this place even better?

As part of the ongoing public engagement phase for the Official Community Plan review, don’t just tell us using words, but also show us with pictures why this place is so important to you.

Completing the survey is quick and easy – pin a spot on a virtual map that’s important to you, upload a photo and answer a few short questions.

Consider pulling up the survey on your next visit to this special place for added inspiration.

Why participate?  Providing your feedback is helping to directly shape the policy outcomes of the OCP review. As an added bonus, you have the chance to win a Ladysmith 2049 toque – a prize that’s bit unique just like our vision for the community.

We have already heard from hundreds of residents who have completed the OCP Review launch survey.  It is still available online and hard copies can be picked up at City Hall, the Frank Jameson Community Centre and Development Services. You can also download a hard copy and return it any of the administrative offices specified above

Grab your smartphone and get ‘oot’ there Ladysmith!
