Ladysmith Council set to begin 2022 Budget meetings

Ladysmith Council is holding the first in a series of meetings starting next Tuesday to discuss the 2022 Budget and 2022-2026 Financial Plan.

The November 2, 2021 Council meeting, which will include the  Operating Budget is being held virtually on Zoom due to the Public Hearing.  The hearing begins at 6 pm and the Council meeting will immediately follow.

Members of the public can register to participate through Zoom.  The meeting will be broadcast from the  City Hall Council Chambers and anyone who is unable to participate electronically can attend in person to provide comment on the Operating Budget, or participate in the Public Hearing.

As always, Council wants to hear what you think about the proposed 2022 Budget and Financial Plan, and how it anticipates allocating local tax dollars for your community.  The details in both financial documents align with Council’s 2020-2023 Strategic Plan and its priorities for Infrastructure, Community, Economy and the Waterfront.

A recap of each Budget meeting, the staff presentation as well as the recorded video will be published here on the Town’s website.

Please check the start time of the meetings below as some differ to align with that night’s proceedings.
