Resident Alien continues Season 2 filming in Ladysmith Feb 27-Mar 2

Resident Alien is returning to Ladysmith later this week to continue filming Season 2.

Production crews will be filming in various locations along 1st Avenue, Roberts Street, Gatacre Street, and the alley between White Space Living and Bayview Framing, February 27 through March 2, 2022.

Downtown Ladysmith is open for business and short-term parking accommodations will be made where possible.

As of Thursday, February 24, 2022, production crews will be utilizing various street parking and parking lots around town, including:

  • * Roberts Street Parking Lot, 17 Roberts Street (beginning at 7 am)
  • * Traveller’s Hotel Parking Lot, 127 Gatacre Street (after 6 pm)
  • * Fisherman’s Wharf Lot, 901 Ludlow Road (after 6 pm)
  • * 900 block of Oyster Bay Drive
  • * Buller Street Lot (behind Ladysmith Museum)

Beginning on Sunday, February 27, motorists can expect intermittent traffic control and temporary closures in the filming areas described above.

These temporary closures may at times restrict access to Roberts Street from the Trans-Canada Highway.

Additionally, a full closure of the 300-400 Block of 1st Avenue – Roberts Street to Gatacre Street – for vehicular traffic will occur from 6-10 pm on Sunday, February 27 to accommodate a night scene.

Filming on most days will start as early as 7 am and go until 6 pm, with the exception of night filming.

Production crews will wrap up March 3-4 as Patience, Colorado is transformed back into Ladysmith! Public parking lots will reopen during this time.
