Canada Day 2022 Celebrations

The Town of Ladysmith is pleased to return to our annual Canada Day celebrations at Transfer Beach Park following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

On Canada Day, we come together to celebrate and shine a light on our country’s diversity, inclusion and whatever it is that makes you proud!

New for 2022, the festivities kick-off in the morning with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Ladysmith Kinsmen Club.

The official ceremony begins at 11 am at the ampitheatre with the dignitaries welcome.

The Town is once again grateful to the Stz’uminus Young Wolves Dancers who will be performing as part of the event.

Settle into your seats for live music starting at 11:30 am featuring Nate Harris followed by Robbie Hancock.

As part of the celebrations, we will be offering cupcakes from the Old Town Bakery.

In addition to the celebrations, the community is invited to tour the park as view some of the recent improvements.

The Spray Park was recently refurbished with a new rubber surface as part of a BC Tire Stewardship grant.

The Town also has completed work on the Transfer Beach public washroom and picnic shelter upgrades.

We acknowledge the financial support of the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage.
