Minister of Municipal Affairs visits Ladysmith

Ladysmith Mayor and Council were pleased to welcome Minister of Municipal Affairs Anne Kang and members of her staff team to Ladysmith on Thursday afternoon.  

Kang visited downtown Ladysmith before the group stopped for a working lunch and discussed some of Council’s key priorities.

Following, Minister Kang was taken on a tour of the Machine Shop and the proposed area for the Arts & Heritage Hub.

Mayor and Council spoke of working with Stz’uminus First Nation , funding opportunities from upper levels of government and the importance of investing in local infrastructure.
