Town seeks residents feedback on annual Spring Clean-Up service

Ladysmith, BC — The Town of Ladysmith is inviting residents to share their feedback on the community’s annual Spring Clean-Up curbside collection service.

Each year, through its contractor Waste Connections, the Town provides one week of curbside collection for large household items such as couches, washers, dryers and stoves. This year’s Spring Clean-Up took place from April 22 to 28, 2025.

The Town is reviewing the service and is seeking public input to identify potential improvements or determine the program’s continuation.

“Spring Clean-Up provides residents with an opportunity to responsibly dispose of larger items that aren’t collected through regular curbside service,” says Nicholas Pescod, the Town’s Communication and Engagement Specialist. “We want to hear from the community about how the program is working and where it could be improved.”

Residents are encouraged to complete a short survey, which will be available from August 21 at 9:00 am until September 5 at 9:00 pm.

Feedback collected from the survey will guide future decisions about the program.

The survey can be accessed on Let’s Talk Ladysmith or at https://letstalk.ladysmith.ca/spring-clean-up-collection/surveys/2025-spring-clean-up-week-survey.

Residents must create an account on Let’s Talk Ladysmith in order to participate in the survey.
