Town offering fall yard waste pick-up

Ladysmith, BC – The Town of Ladysmith, in partnership with Waste Connections, will provide Residential Fall Yard Waste Pick-Up from October 6–10, 2025.

Please note: Strata properties are not included in this collection service.

What you can set out:

• Yard Waste: Up to 10 yard waste bags or reusable bins (maximum 77 L, under 44 lbs/20 kg). Either stick with metric or both but not one and then two.
• Sticks: Up to 2 bundles, each no longer than 3 ft in length and 2 in in diameter, tied with cotton string (maximum 44 lbs/20 kg per bundle).

Accepted materials include:

• Leaves
• Grass clippings
• Flowers
• Non-invasive plants
• Tree or hedge clippings
• Branches (up to 2 in diameter, max 44 lbs/20 kg)

If rain is in the forecast, place paper bags at the curb on the morning of collection only.
