Traffic Advisory: 1st Avenue southbound lane closure (extended)

The closure has been extended to October 17 from 7:00 am until 11:00 am. Please see below for more details.

Ladysmith, BC — The Town of Ladysmith is advising residents and visitors of a temporary lane closure on 1st Avenue between Methuen Street and Forward Road to allow for the installation of new railings this week.

The southbound lane will be closed on October 15 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and on October 16, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

During this time, southbound traffic and pedestrians will be detoured via Methuen Street. Signage and traffic control personnel will be in place to guide drivers and pedestrians safely through the area.

The Town of Ladysmith thanks residents and visitors for their patience and cooperation while this important infrastructure work is completed.
