Town moving to Stage 1 water restrictions

Ladysmith, BC — Effective November 3, the Town of Ladysmith will return to Stage 1 water restrictions as part of our seasonal shift in water management.

These restrictions apply to residents of the Town of Ladysmith, Diamond Improvement District, and Stz’uminus First Nation.

With cooler temperatures and increased rainfall, outdoor water demand naturally decreases. Stage 1 allows limited lawn sprinkling up to two hours per designated day:

  • Even-numbered addresses: Wednesdays and Saturdays
  • Odd-numbered addresses: Thursdays and Sundays

As part of the return to Stage 1, the following activities are now permitted:

  • Filling hot tubs
  • Washing vehicles, boats, driveways, houses, and sidewalks

For a complete list on what is permitted under Stage 1, please visit https://www.ladysmith.ca/our-services/water/restrictions.

For the latest news and updates, visit the Town’s website at www.ladysmith.ca, as well as Facebook and Instagram.

The Town of Ladysmith respectfully acknowledges that we gather and work on the unceded territory of the Stz'uminus First Nation, the traditional keepers of this land.
