Town moving to Stage 1 water restrictions on May 1

Ladysmith, BC — Effective Friday, May 1, the Town of Ladysmith will return to Stage 1 water restrictions as part of our seasonal shift in water management.

These restrictions apply to residents of the Town of Ladysmith, Diamond Improvement District, and Stz’uminus First Nation.

Stage 1 allows limited lawn sprinkling up to two hours per designated day:

  • Even-numbered addresses: Wednesdays and Saturdays
  • Odd-numbered addresses: Thursdays and Sundays

The following activities are still permitted under Stage 1:

  • Filling hot tubs
  • Washing vehicles, boats, driveways, houses, and sidewalks
