Road Closure: 1st Avenue & Gatacre Street

The Town of Ladysmith is advising residents that 1st Avenue between High Street and Roberts Street, as well as Gatacre Street between Trans-Canada Highway and 1st Avenue, will be temporarily closed from 4:00 am until 7:00 am on June 25 due to construction work.

Sidewalks within the closure area will also be inaccessible during this period.

The closures are required to accommodate construction activities associated with the Island Hotel (Islander) project at 440 1st Avenue.

During this period, residents in the area should expect to hear noises associated with construction activity.

The Town apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates residents' patience and cooperation during this temporary disruption.
