Frank Jameson Community Centre Update

The Town of Ladysmith is advising residents that unforeseen challenges have affected the construction schedule for the Frank Jameson Community Centre roof replacement project.

The Gymnasium and Fitness Studio are now tentatively expected to reopen September 28, subject to construction progress and weather conditions.

What this means for programs and activities:

  • Not all registered programs are impacted. Programs that are affected by the construction delays will be postponed until September 28.
  • Staff will contact registered participants directly with information about their program.
  • Drop-in activities in the Gymnasium and Fitness Studio will remain cancelled until these spaces reopen.
  • Impacted user groups will also be notified directly.

For registered participants whose programs are affected, a prorated refund will be issued for the affected portion of the program. Participants who would prefer to withdraw from an affected program may contact Frank Jameson Community Centre reception for a full refund.

Pool and Fitness Centre

The Pool is scheduled to reopen September 8 as normal.

The Fitness Centre remains open and is not impacted by the construction delays.

The Town of Ladysmith appreciates the community’s patience and understanding as this important work continues.

Please note that roofing work is weather dependent, and the reopening timeline may change as construction progresses.
