Town offering fall yard waste collection

The Town of Ladysmith, in partnership with our contractor, GFL Environmental, is pleased to announce that Fall Yard Waste Collection will take place October 19-23, 2026.

What you can set out for collection:

Yard Waste: Up to 10 yard waste bags or reusable bins, no larger than 77L and under 44lbs (20kg).

Sticks: Up to 2 bundles, each no longer than 3' in length and 2" in diameter, tied with cotton string. Bundles must weigh less than 44lbs (20kg).

Accepted materials:
Leaves
Grass clippings
Flowers
Non-invasive plants
Tree or hedge clippings
Branches (up to 2” diameter, max 44lbs/20kg)

If rain is expected, place paper bags at the curb only on the morning of collection.
