Voting opportunities in the 2026 General Local Election

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ladysmith, BC — Residents will have ample opportunities this month to cast their votes in the 2026 General Local Election.

Advance voting for the 2026 General Local Election will take place on Wednesday, October 7 and Wednesday, October 14 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm at City Hall.

General voting will take place on Saturday, October 17 between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm at the Frank Jameson Community Centre.

Mail ballot voting is available for those expecting to be absent or who are unable to vote in person.

Individuals must complete and submit a mail ballot application to receive a Mail Ballot. Applications are available online or can be picked up at the front counter at City Hall during regular business hours. The deadline for applications is Friday, October 16 at 12:00 pm.
