2021 Key Dates for your property 

January  Your property assessment is mailed out by BC Assessment
January 31 Deadline to request a formal review of your property assessment
February 26 Fourth Quarter Utility Bills Due 
May 28 First Quarter Utility Bills Due
By May 31       Your property tax notice is mailed out
Mid-June    Contact us if you have not received your property tax notice
June 26 First Quarter Utility Bills due 
July 2  

Property taxes due. A 10% penalty is applied to any outstanding balance
Home owner grant applications due to the Province
Deadline to apply to defer your property taxes with the Province

August A Statement of Account is mailed out to you if you have an unpaid account balance from a previous year.
August 27 Second Quarter Utility Bills due
September 27 Tax Sale – all properties with delinquent taxes are sold at public auction.
**2020 Tax Sale postponed until September 2021**
November 26   Third Quarter Utility Bills due
December 31      

**Starting January 1, 2021 municipalities will no longer accept retroactive or current year Home Owner Grant applications. For more information please visit

You may pay:
  • electronically at participating financial institutions
  • in person at City Hall (cash, cheque or Interac)
  • at most financial institutions in Canada up to the due date
  • by mail* please note post marks are NOT accepted as date of payment
