Town reminds residents visiting offices and facilities of mask order

The Town of Ladysmith continues to ensure our administrative offices and facilities meet the latest orders and recommendations issued by the Provincial Health Officer for helping to limit transmission of COVID-19.

As a reminder to the public, masks are required when visiting our offices and facilities for everyone over the age of 12 years old.  Exemptions apply for the following:

  • People with health conditions or with physical, cognitive or mental impairments who cannot wear a mask;
  • People who cannot remove a mask on their own;
  • Children under the age of 12.

We understand that life is busy and you might forget to bring your mask when visiting us.

The Town is providing surgical masks and hand sanitizer to members of the public when entering City Hall, Development Services, Infrastructure Services and the Frank Jameson Community Centre.

We have also posted signage at all offices and facilities as a reminder.

During COVID-19, the Town is carrying on with business as usual while strictly following all guidelines and orders of federal and provincial health officers.

To help keep your bubble small, we’re ready to assist you over the phone at 250-245-6400 or electronically at info@ladysmith.ca with common enquiries such as bill payments, collection day information and bylaw complaints.

You can also use our online directory to find the appropriate Town department or staff member.

Thank you for doing your part to limit the spread of the virus.
