FJCC returns to full capacity for Fitness Centre and drop-in classes

The Town of Ladysmith is pleased to return to full capacity in the Fitness Centre and drop-in classes at the Frank Jameson Community Centre effective Thursday, February 17, 2022.

The changes are the result of the Provincial Health Officer’s announcement on Tuesday, lifting the current Order restricting capacity limits for indoor spaces, including recreation facilities.

As a result, pre-registration is no longer required to use the Fitness Centre or participate in drop-in fitness classes.

Furthermore, staff are moving equipment back into the Fitness Centre that was removed to allow for the appropriate physical distancing. Town staff remain committed to stringent cleaning protocols to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities.

Patrons and spectators over 12 years of age are still required to provide Proof of Vaccination and wear a mask while in common areas at the FJCC such as change rooms, hallways, the pool deck, and when not exercising.

We appreciate the public’s ongoing understanding as we navigate changes to Provincial health orders and keep our community safe.

Parks, Recreation and Culture programming, classes and the FJCC facility schedule, are all available on the Town’s website: https://www.ladysmith.ca/parks-recreation-culture/programs/schedules-guides.
