The Town has mobilized all of our snow and ice control equipment and crews are out salting, sanding and plowing priority routes throughout Ladysmith, including: Symonds Street, Roberts Street, 1st Avenue, 4th Avenue, Davis Road, Dogwood Drive and Chemainus Road.

Crews will be working late tonight and coming in early in the morning.

Please drive cautiously and according to the conditions. We strongly urge you to avoid non-essential travel this evening.

Orange Route collection cancelled

The remainder of the Orange Route was cancelled earlier today due to the snow. We will post an update on our website and social media when more details on a make-up collection day is available.

Come warmup at the FJCC

The Frank Jameson Community Centre lobby is staying open an extra half hour tonight until 8:30 p.m. for members of the public to come stay warm.
