Spring Clean Up Week 2021

UPDATE - April 12, 2021

Waste Connections is continuing to pick up bulk items accepted during Spring Clean Up Week.

Spring Clean Up is a lot of heavy lifting for crews and they'll be revisiting routes to grab items that may have been missed on your collection day.

We appreciate your patience and will update you once all routes are completed.

For a list of items that can be placed curb side during Spring Clean Up Week, see below.

April 6th to 12th, 2021

During this week, on your regular collection day, the following additional oversized items will be picked up.

* Furniture (wooden or fabric-covered wood)

* Washers and Dryers

* Carpets, Rugs and Mattresses

* Barbecues

* Toys and Bicycles

*For the health and safety of the Collector, mattresses must be fully contained in plastic and be taped/sealed.

All items must be placed at the curbside the day BEFORE your regular collection day.

Please Note: If items left at curbside are not on the list above they will not be picked up. The Peerless Facility has expanded the list of acceptable items. For more information, please visit the Cowichan Valley Regional District's website at www.cvrd.bc.ca or call toll-free 1-800-665-3955.

The Town of Ladysmith and Waste Connections are working together to ensure all necessary COVID-19 protocols are in place in order to be able to offer the annual Spring Clean Up to residents.

We appreciate your cooperation and ask that you not attempt to help the collection crew or bring out last minute items to the curb so that workers can maintain those protocols.
